So the other day, I tried to fly.
I ran and ran and leapt in the sky.
But oh well baby, shikata nai.
All that made me do was die.

In death, I tried to haunt some guy.
Y'know, scare him good, make him cry.
He took one look and thought me a lie.
Oh well baby, shikata nai.

So I sat and sat and I wasted away.
Maybe I'd come back some day.
But if I didn't, then what the hey,
can't help it baby, shou ga nee.
